ANTI-CORRUPTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO BE IMPLEMENTED AT THE NATIONAL LAND SERVICE
On February 14, a contract for the purchase of services for the implementation of an anti-corruption management system at the National Land Service (NLS) was signed. NLS is the first state institution in Lithuania to implement anti-corruption management system developed in accordance with the best global anti-corruption practice, in compliance with the requirements of international ISO 37001: 2016 standard.
According to a recent survey by the public opinion and market research center "Vilmorus", individuals who have recently personally handled documents in the NLS are much more likely to appreciate the transparency of the services than in 2017.
“Changes are evident and noticeable, encouraging us to even focus more and seek for greater public confidence. We are committed to being ambitious and innovative, and the anti-corruption management system will help us improve the quality of administrative and public service delivery, increase the transparency, publicity and accountability of decisions and procedures, strengthen the NLS’s resilience to corruption”, – says Laimonas Čiakas, Director of the National Land Service.
