In March, the National Land Service successfully established contacts with the Icelandic National Land Surveyg and the National Centre Registers of Iceland under the project initiated by the NLS "Exchange of knowledge and best practices on digital archives and ICT Process optimization between the National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania and the relevant authorities of Iceland and Denmark ".
During the visit to Iceland representatives of the NLS listened to the presentations of the institutions of Iceland on the institutional activities, strategies and achievements, both in key activities and in the digitisation of information technologies and archives. The NLS representatives were interested in tools that were usedt to digitize large scale maps, archives and other relevant documentation, on how to provide services to ensure the highest quality of services for customers. In the service area good practices have also been shared to ensure the protection of personal data and compliance with quality standards within the institutions.
